The Ecorse Creek Watershed is located within Wayne County, in southeast Michigan. The North and South Branch of the Ecorse Creek drain into the Ecorse River and then directly to the Detroit River. The watershed drains an area of approximately 43 square miles in a heavily urbanized region, including the Detroit Metropolitan Airport in the headwater region of the South Branch of the Ecorse Creek.
